About Boaz
Boaz turned two on September 16, 2026, and he’s growing into a lively little farm boy who loves every minute with his older brothers, Noah and James. From tractors to dirt piles, he’s excited about anything that lets him explore, play, and be all boy.
Boaz’s Story
In late September, Brandon and Naomi Gingerich learned that their two-year-old son, Boaz, had a growth in his left eye. The University of Iowa referred them to Lurie's Children's Hospital in Chicago, where testing showed that Boaz has retinoblastoma in both eyes, with the left eye being in the most advanced stage.
Boaz has started chemotherapy to treat the cancer while doctors try to preserve Boaz's remaining vision. Over the next six months, they will travel to Chicago every three to four weeks to continue treatment.
At home, Boaz has two older brothers, Noah and James, and Brandon and Naomi are expecting their fourth child.
The funds raised will help cover medical bills, travel, lodging, meals, and other costs related to Boaz's treatment. Any amount is appreciated, and sharing this page helps too. Thank you for supporting the Gingerich family and keeping them in your prayers.
